Aledo's Raycine Guillory Decommits from Texas Longhorns
Aledo running back Raycine Guillory has de-committed from the Texas Longhorns, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Guillory, one of the most highly regarded talents in Texas, confirmed the news on X, attributing the decision to “God’s plan.”
Guillory, a standout in the Class of 2026, has attracted attention from top programs nationwide, including Baylor, Georgia, North Texas, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, SMU, TCU, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech. He committed to the Longhorns on January 10, 2024, but has now reopened his recruitment.
Ranked by 247Sports as the No. 16 running back and No. 189 overall player in the Class of 2026, Guillory was instrumental in leading the Aledo Bearcats to a Class 5A Division I state championship, despite missing the title game due to injury. Standing at 5-foot-10 and weighing 180 pounds, Guillory was named to the Fort Worth All-Area first team during his sophomore season.
TCU Football Recruiting Updates
TCU’s recruiting efforts have seen significant developments. Southlake Carroll running back Davis Penn announced his commitment to Baylor. Penn named the 2023 Fort Worth All-Area Newcomer of the Year, led the Carroll Dragons to the Class 6A Division I State Semifinal as a sophomore. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound four-star recruit had offers from Wisconsin, Arizona State, Texas State, and more. Penn shares carry with the class of 2025 running back Riley Wormley, a USC commit, forming a formidable duo for the Dragons.
Cooper Witten, son of Cowboys legend and Argyle Liberty Christian head coach Jason Witten, also received an offer from TCU football. The class of 2027 athlete, standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 205 pounds, plays alongside his brother, class of 2025 linebacker CJ Witten. The Witten brothers were pivotal in leading the Liberty Christian Warriors to a TAPPS Division II state championship and an undefeated season.
