From Omaha: New Men's College World Series Champion to be Crowned
OMAHA, Neb. — The 2024 Men's College World Series championship will see the Tennessee Volunteers and the Texas A&M Aggies face off in a best-of-three series beginning Saturday. Both SEC powerhouses are competing for their first NCAA Tournament championship in school history.
Tennessee and Texas A&M went undefeated (3-0) in the round-robin stage to secure their spots in the championship series. The Volunteers advanced with a 7-2 win over Florida State on Wednesday, while the Aggies punched their ticket by defeating Florida 6-0.
Although Tennessee and Texas A&M did not meet during the regular season, they clashed in the SEC tournament in late May. Tennessee emerged victorious in that encounter, defeating the Aggies 7-4 on their way to winning the SEC tournament title. The upcoming championship series promises to be a competitive and exciting showdown.
